One man’s vision from 1971 to 2013...
AGSI was founded in 1971 by Stephen Tanner, a native of Massachusetts. Over the last 40 years, Steve has overseen the daily operations of AGSI, which has staked its claim on quality signage design, fabrication, and installation. Passing through 4 decades, 3 recessions, and even 2 floods, AGSI has stayed relevant and cutting edge with a proven track record of creative and effective design, quality craftsmanship, and simply getting the job done.
AGSI's 10,000 sq. foot shop in downtown Watertown allows for signs to be made from various construction arts such as carpentry, welding, electric, metal working, machine cutting, wood carving and gold leafing, metal bending, sculpting, painting, and printing.
From the majestic to the mundane, AGSI welcomes jobs of all shapes and sizes. Whether it be fabricating and mounting a 10 foot stainless steel cross for the Arch Diocese of Boston, creating the stainless steel LED lit "TEDx Boston" letters for Corinthian Events, or fabricating and installing many of the custom restaurant and small business signs seen along Boston’s trendy Newbury street, AGSI can take its clients from the design phase through to installation.
